Successful Competition

The world today has people competing against each other since the beginning of time, it is in our human nature and many successes have come from it.
Competition is everywhere it is in jobs, schools and sports.  In this essay I will be talking about why competition is a good thing, how it helps children grow and how it works in society. Competition is the real world and those who have talent or work the hardest are able to succeed.

It is a good thing.

Competition will always favour the best person and that is a good thing. It allows people to be motivated and always stay at the top of their game. It allows hard work and determination to be put forward into achieving your goals.

In the real world there will always be someone that will try to outdo you and then the success in competition will always favour the best party achieving the best result always.

Competition encourages talent and hard work, according to Brummel Brad, University of Tulsa (2012, May 1.) "If you want to be individually rewarded and areachievement motivated, then you will want some competition." this means that without competition, people can never be fully rewarded and it won’t keep people motivated and to strive.

People will most likely to get more done with competition in their minds, it promotes people to grow from their weaknesses and then challenge others. It allows a goal and a purpose for people telling them to achieve great things; it can also help us prepare for the real world as it is unfair sometimes.

I believe competition is a part of human nature, when you get knocked down, it is natural to stand back up and try again to not give up and succeed, to be determined to get what you want and compete to believe that you are the best.

Competition gives passion to people to accomplish their own dreams; it teaches us what it means to be human and gives us an opportunity for greater things in life.

Learning.

Growing up has many experiences and one of the main experiences to growing up and maturing is through the knowledge of competition. It is said by Fawley Kya (2009.) “It's impossible to protect your kids from competitivesituations, and you probably don't want to, anyway. Your child can learn somevaluable lessons from healthy competition that will serve him well as he getsolder. , competition can teach children to be mature and to learn to respect people.

It is able to teach the real world to children, so then they can learn to adapt to it, learning that life can be unfair sometimes. When there are team competitions it can bring teamwork and friendship among the members, so it is important to socialize as it is important for children’s futures, together you have a much higher chance of success, and they can also feel better about themselves in a cooperative environment.

It can help children think creatively to tackle a problem, so they are able to come up with a unique different solution. Children learning about competition can help them be more confident. So having kids compete against each other can make them try harder to succeed, if kids are trying and working harder, we will be to see positive results in their grades.

We should also teach our kids that winning isn’t everything, it depends on how much effort and determination you have put in and that you can use that effort and determination to succeed next time.

With competition it can teach the importance of being fair, it allows sportsmanship and respect to grow in children and to accept losses when it is fair, to not be a sore loser and accept that things don’t always go your way.

Society.

Competition in society is a lot harsher, as it will always favour the person with the most talent or skill. Finding a job is not as easy as it will depend on your degree and people will always compete against you for a spot.

It is said by Trikha Ritika (May 1, 2012) “A competitive environment has no room for laziness or mediocrity. You're held accountable for your work and achievements, and failure to perform will leavespace for your competitors to zoom ahead Competition in society can be extremely unfair and sacrifices will always be made, buy even so competition does still lead to success as there is always a person that is on the top.

So in order to succeed in the real world, you have to show that you are the best among other people. Competition changes human civilizations letting it evolve in various ways. It teaches people to be more creative, making people think outside the box to come up with new ideas. It helps development for people who have loss, turning it into something positive because mistakes can help people grow.

It allows a goal and purpose to people allowing them to achieve great things, competition is everywhere and without it, society wouldn’t be where it is now today. Life is more challenging as it is a natural behaviour of humans to be best at something than someone else.

Competition can have a bad image as it has a negative and unfavourable atmosphere. People are under so much pressure as it is important to succeed, that there is no fun involved and this can lead to cheating and a lack of sportsmanship, so it is important to teach the acts of being fair.

To conclude

In conclusion this is why I think that competition leads to success, competition is everywhere and it is in our human nature, but it is not a bad thing as people are able to achieve great things with it, it teaches children to be a lot more respectful and helps them mature and lastly it helps society grow into a more positive future.

Competition success.

http://money.usnews.com/money/blogs/outside-voices-careers/2012/05/01/is-competition-among-co-workers-a-good-thing
In this article the author Ritika Trikha is saying that it depends on your personality and preference, if you want a challenge or want to be individually rewarded. Competition can keep you motivated, working towards your rewards. A downside is that there will always be someone that can outdo you. Competition can favor the more outgoing and confident party. While individual competition encourages talent, team competitions can bring teamwork and friendship among the members. Competition can also turn to the party with the most creative idea to tackle the problem coming up with a unique different solution than the rest. Competion will always bring negative feelings, discouragement and mistrust in people.

In this article is about the pros and cons of competitions in schools. Competition can bring about better teachers in schools, it can raise quality and improve education. It can give students motivation, if they work harder they can achieve better grades. Teachers and students are more confident there abilities. Competition can always lead to stressed out students, it can make students sacrifice there time for more study, leaving social interactions decreased. Schools are replacing art programs with more academic time decreasing self esteem and enjoyment of the school. In the end competition needs to balance out in order for us to succeed and for students to feel that they do not need to be best at everything.

Competition can make children lust for winning. It can also teach the importance of being fair, it allows sportsmanship and respect to grow in children and to accept  losses when it was fair. Competition can make children try their hardest and to work towards their achievements in life.
Competition makes children want more than necessary making them develop a competitive nature. It can make children cheat. Also can make children lack the confidence in trying new things. Competition can leave children to try and protect their reputation and pride. Children can look away from the fun aspect in competitive environments thinking winning is the most important. Children may think its unfair that older people have more experience in things forcing them to play at a disadvantage and making them naive.

Americans can push  kids too hard and too fast to become the best. Competition is never a good thing, it can be destructive as only one person can succeed and that others fail. Competition is not necessary for you to reach your goals in life. Competition doesn't build character, the value is defined by what you have done to achieve, the worst thing is you have beaten a number of people as a good person. It is told to children that he must be successful in order to be the very best, the more he competes the more he will feel good about himself. No one likes the feeling of losing, it shows people that you are weak and your reputation is ruined. Children can feel better about themselves in a cooperative environment more than a competitive one. Competition changes environment leaving unnecessary feelings, it makes them anxious and loses focus, they are unable to work with others to share ideas and improve themselves, this results to performance decrease in there abilities.  Competition can breed rivalry among people, friends and family  leaving trust issues on the person. A result is that competitive doesn't like to listen to others perspectives, this can also make them less generous. Cooperation is the key to success, it helps you grow and change into a better person. You can always have fun in a game without needing to compete. Overall competition is destructive and there are better ways for children to work and play and live.

It can hurt the image of people destroying their self esteem. Competition in society can be so unfair that a lot of people are needed to make sacrifices. Primarily we should teach our kids that winning isn't everything, it depends on how much effort you putted in and that you tried your best is that your a winner on the inside.

In business they will always need to be compete for customers, markets share, top of mind awareness and with one another.Competition is costing billions of dollars in the U.S economy and people still believe that competition leads to the success in life. Cooperation should be the way to go, not beating one another and coming first. People that work together are able to achieve greater thing, it is a lot more mature to cooperate than compete.
