Americans can push  kids too hard and too fast to become the best. Competition is never a good thing, it can be destructive as only one person can succeed and that others fail. Competition is not necessary for you to reach your goals in life. Competition doesn't build character, the value is defined by what you have done to achieve, the worst thing is you have beaten a number of people as a good person. It is told to children that he must be successful in order to be the very best, the more he competes the more he will feel good about himself. No one likes the feeling of losing, it shows people that you are weak and your reputation is ruined. Children can feel better about themselves in a cooperative environment more than a competitive one. Competition changes environment leaving unnecessary feelings, it makes them anxious and loses focus, they are unable to work with others to share ideas and improve themselves, this results to performance decrease in there abilities.  Competition can breed rivalry among people, friends and family  leaving trust issues on the person. A result is that competitive doesn't like to listen to others perspectives, this can also make them less generous. Cooperation is the key to success, it helps you grow and change into a better person. You can always have fun in a game without needing to compete. Overall competition is destructive and there are better ways for children to work and play and live.

Competition is a good thing. Its about getting better and to succeed, competition is everywhere. Usually people favor the party that has more talent, the party can always change as their will always be opponents and overcoming these problems teaches adversity. Competition has a bad image as it has negative and  unfavorable atmosphere. People are under so much pressure as it is important to win, that their is no fun involved this can lead to cheating and lack of sportsmanship. It can hurt the image of people destroying their self esteem. Competition in society can be so unfair that a lot of people are needed to make sacrifices. Primarily we should teach our kids that winning isn't everything, it depends on how much effort you putted in and that you tried your best is that your a winner on the inside.

In business they will always need to be compete for customers, markets share, top of mind awareness and with one another.Competition is costing billions of dollars in the U.S economy and people still believe that competition leads to the success in life. Cooperation should be the way to go, not beating one another and coming first. People that work together are able to achieve greater thing, it is a lot more mature to cooperate than compete.
